Trying to accomplish a bit of holiday shopping the other day I was literally bumped into by a mall cop on a segue. I am fine with mall cops but what I think hurts their respectability is the helmet. I just don't think the helmet is really needed while you ride around patrolling the mall. First of all, I don't know the top speed of your scooter but I am going to guess - 8? Unless you crash and fall down an escalator, I can't imagine a spill being that bad. I don't wear a helmet when I jog. Second, you're fighting an uphill battle in earning the respect of no-good mall guests. Helmet = not helping.

Lol. Why do they even need scooters, anyway? Unless it's the Mall of America, chances are, it wouldn't take that long to run to wherever the emergency is happening! :)
I'm sure it's like an insurance-related reason, to prevent them from getting hurt on the job, but you're right, they look kind of silly.
