5 Toed Running Shoes

I have decided to up the cardio in my workouts and have been reading a lot about these "barefoot" running shoes. Basically the idea is that they are better to run in outdoors. I had originally cut back on running because my knee was bothering me and now I'm thinking these funky things could help.

Has anyone used them? Thoughts?

My daughter has something called patella femur malalignment. She has had knee pain and problems all her sport life. She has these shoes and she toe strikes when she runs now. She no longer has knee pain. They are a little usual looking but they have been the thing for her.

My boyfriend has a pair and loves them! He hated running in regular running shoes and is always looking for new things to try out. He said it took a few runs to break them in and get used to the way your foot hits the pavement. But they help to properly cushion your joints and he can now run longer distances in them.

Lots of people at my gym have them. I hear they are great for running and working out because of the natural alignment of your foot, and that technically people were never meant to wear shoes to begin with.

I think this is the book my fiance read about barefoot running:

But he tried it and didn't like it. I'm sure these shoes would help-too bad they're so expensive!

I have the KSOs and i love them they can be washed and are light-wieght and comfortable. I did get stared at a little but they are worth it!!! I now love to run, even when its raining because they dry so fast.
